WhatsApp accounts of Kashmiris get deleted due to 4 months of internet blackout

Due to the prolonged data and internet blackout in the region, the WhatsApp accounts of users from Jammu and Kashmir have started vanishing out of the groups they were once active in. The internet services have been closed for 4 months after the abrogation of article 370. According to WhatsApp’s parent company Facebook, this is due to the company policy that the accounts were deleted and exited from the groups as they were inactive for more than 120 days. Man duped of INR 1 lakh while ordering pizza on Zomato app in Bengaluru

NV Sheik, a resident of Bengaluru’s Koramangala, used food delivery app Zomato on his phone to order himself a pizza, however, when he did not receive a pizza for an hour, he called a customer care number to enquire. The number turned out to be of a fraudster who asked him to click the link that he will send via a text message. Within minutes of clicking the link, INR 45,000 was deducted from his account and again another INR 50,000 was deducted. India 5th most vulnerable of climate change out of 181 countries

Among the 181 countries of the world, India is the 5th most vulnerable to the effect of climate change and the poor people of the country are majorly at stake. According to the Global Climate Risk Index of 2020 the highest number of deaths (2,081) in 2018 due to weather events such as cyclones, heavy rainfall, floods and landslides. Haj process made 100% digital, Naqvi informs Lok Sabha

Union Minister of Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi informed the Lok Sabha that the procedure of Haj 2020 has been made 100% digital. Naqvi further said that this includes an online application, E-Visa, Haj mobile app, digital pre-tagging of the baggage of pilgrims, E-MASIHA (E-Medical Assistance System for Indian Pilgrims Abroad), Portal for Haj Group Organisers (HGOs) with their details and Haj packages.
