Kerala implements mandatory helmets for pillion riders
The Kerala govt has implemented the directives of the High Court to make helmets compulsory for pillion riders. As per media reports, Police will conduct vehicle checks to ensure that two-wheeler riders comply with the new directives and if found without a helmet, INR 500 will be imposed against them. The reports added that in the initial phase, the police will warn the pillion riders to wear a helmet before the fine is levied.
