SC dismisses the petition filed for review of Rafale deal, gives clean chit to BJP

The three-membered bench of Supreme Court led by CJI Ranjan Gogoi has ruled out the BJP-led government from the petition filed regarding the review of the Rafale deal. Earlier on December 14, 2018 the Supreme Court said that there is no wrong-doing in the deal and the costs on which the BJP-led government bought the aircraft from France. The Supreme Court stood on the earlier judgement and said that there is no place for a review of the verdict as pleaded by two former ministers Yashwant Sinha and Arun Shourie in UPA-led government and Advocate Prashant Bhushan.
