Andhra Woman walks 60 km to marry her boyfriend in neighbouring village

A woman identified as Chitikala Bhavani in Andhra Pradesh walked a distance of 60 kilometres to marry her boyfriend Sai Punnayya, who lived near her village. Bhavani and Punnaya, who have been together for four years and their parents were not happy with them. However, when everything was ready to set their plan in motion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced lockdown for 21 days amid the coronavirus outbreak. Kerala homeless man waves away cops approaching him with food, ensures social distancing

A touching video of three policemen in Kerala offering food to a homeless man, while the latter tries to ensure social distancing in times of coronavirus has surfaced online. The video shows the three policemen entering a bylane where they spot a man lying in front of a shop. As one of them moves forward, the latter stops him, draws a circle with a stone and asks him to leave the food there. Those violating lockdown orders should be booked: Centre to States

As the country is going through 21 days lockdown in view of Coronavirus outbreak, Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla directed states and union territories to book those who don't abide by lockdown rules or make false claims under relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code and the Disaster Management Act, 2005. He said, ”Violators of lockdown should be punished under the IPC. Anyone obstructing enforcement of lockdown could be punishable for jail term of up to 2 years,”. Govt orders more than 1.5 cr bodysuits and 1 crore N95 mask

While addressing media, Health of Ministry informed that the Government has ordered more than 1.5 crores personal protective equipment (PPEs) for healthcare workers. The government wanted to ensure the safety of health workers amid the coronavirus pandemic. Ministry further informed that the government has placed orders for more than 1 crore N95 masks.
