In addressing an event in Delhi, Union Minister Giriraj Singh said how the population explosion is taking place in the country, it is time for the people to remain alert. Singh further said that there is a need to connect the population with religion. Leave 'Muth' and 'Mandirs' in the hands of 'pujaris' and reach out to the villages to wake up Hindus. He added that the country will lose its identity if it leaves Hindu Dharma. Stop cutting cakes and burning candles to save "Sanatan Dharma": Giriraj Singh

Union Minister Giriraj Singh, in an interview, stated that Hindus must avoid cutting cake and burning candles on their children's birthday in order to save the principles of "Sanatan Dharma". Singh further said that Ramayana, Gita, and Hanuman Chalisa should be taught to uphold "Sanatan's beliefs". He further asked the citizens to come forward to save Sanatan Dharma and advised that those who are celebrating their birthday will pledge not to blow candles, not to cut sweets, but rather to go to temples and pray to Lord Shiva and Kali also distribute sweets among people, prepare good food. Academic activities have suffered greatly, students should end strike: JNU V-C

In an interview, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) Vice-Chancellor (V-C) Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar said the university's academic activities have suffered greatly over the past two weeks because some students are on strike. Furthermore, Kumar appealed to the students to end the strike and return to academic work. He added that for students below the poverty line level, the fees students have to pay are only 50%.
