Uttar Pradesh: Truck drivers wearing lungi, banyan now to be fined Rs 2,000

Many incidents have been raised where the 2-wheelers and 4-wheelers were fined heftily for violating the traffic rules. Truck drivers will now be fined Rs 2,000 if they're found wearing a lungi or banyan (vest) by traffic officials under the amended Motor Vehicles Act in Uttar Pradesh. Over this matter ASP (Traffic), Lucknow said dress code was a part of the Act since 1939 and Rs 500 penalty was introduced in 1989. Src: https://bit.ly/2lOopwX

SP chief Akhilesh Yadav slams UP govt over law and order issue

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav at the 132nd birth anniversary of Uttar Pradesh's first CM Bharat Ratna Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant slammed the UP govt of being careless in the maintenance of law and order in the state. Yadav alleged, "The law and order situation is in doldrums as police itself is engaging in crime. In Mau, a village head was killed in broad daylight. Owaisi slams BJP for diluting Tabrez Ansari lynching case

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi accused PM Modi-led BJP Govt at the Centre of diluting Tabrez Ansari lynching case. Owaisi, in an interview, expressed, "Jharkhand's BJP govt is ensuring that all the cases booked against eleven accused are diluted. In every state ruled by the BJP, the accused are protected and the criminal cases against them are diluted". Looking at the establishment of a law against mob lynching, Owaisi said, "Had Tabrez been rescued, his life could have been saved. Had he been taken to the hospital, he would have been alive". Delhi to have its own education board that will not be replica of CBSE but next generation board: Manish Sisodia

Recently Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has claimed to have its own education board. Sisodia has said, “This is an irony that there is no education board in Delhi. We are preparing to give the country capital its own education board.” Taking it further he also claimed, “We thought about this in 2015 itself, However, when we saw the condition of the buildings and got a sense of the scholastic environment in the classes, we realised that before introducing a new board, we had to first work on improving the infrastructure.” The minister has assured that the Board will be a next-generation board.
