The new Managing Director of IMF, Kristalina Georgieva, at the annual meeting held at Washington, told that the IMF(International Monetary Fund) is bringing in the environmental risk into its economic analysis. The IMF will put climate change under surveillance to create policies and produce incentives to work in the right direction for the global issue. There is no point in looking at the fundamentals of the economy of the countries with high carbon emission and high risk of carbon shocks without bringing climate risk under supervision, Kristalina added.
