Maharashtra Govt to mark failed students as ‘candidate for skill development’

The Maharashtra government in its attempt to encourage holistic education has taken a unique initiative. The State Department of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship has decided to mark the students who fail in three or more subjects in their 10th or 12th board exams as ‘candidates for skill development’ instead of marking them as ‘failed’ in their results. This can be seen as a good move to prevent suicides by students because of the pressure they face after they fail in their exams or other competitions. Src: https://bit.ly/2OWuRhD
