Amit Shah: NDRF Should Build Central Database to Combat Disaster

Union home minister Amit Shah on Saturday asked the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) to build a single countrywide database of disaster-combat equipment and systems so that the information comes in handy when disaster strikes. The NDRF is a federal force for quick response to any emergency, man-made or natural. Praising the work of the NDRF, Shah said efforts should be made to combat disasters with the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO). Patient dragged on bed sheet to X-ray room in MP hospital; 3 suspended

The staff at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose (NSCB) Medical College in Jabalpur were caught on camera dragging a patient to the X-Ray room on a bed sheet. The video has gone viral on social media and had has sparked outrage across the country. The Dean of the NSCB Medical College, Dr. Navneet Saxena said, “3 persons have been suspended by the administration. An inquiry is underway and action will be taken against all found guilty”. Lucknow: DM Issues Guidelines that Only people in ‘decent clothes’ will be allowed inside Imambara

District Magistrate (DM) Lucknow, Kaushal Raj Sharma issued dress codes and other guidelines for tourists visiting historical monuments in the city. “Carrying camera, tripod, video cameras inside Bara and Chota Imambara is prohibited. Only people with decent clothes will be allowed inside the premises of the monuments,” the guidelines read. The guidelines also prohibit all kinds of professional photography inside the premises of the historical monuments. Jet Employee Consortium and UK based AdiGroup to Bid for 75% of Airlines

A Jet Airways Employee Consortium and Adi Group on Friday, 28 June, announced a partnership to bid for 75 percent of the airlines through the NCLT process. The airline owes Rs 8,500 crore to banks and around Rs 25,000 crore in arrears to vendors, lessors, and employees. The partnership may invest up to Rs 5000crore as part of the airline’s restructuring plan. “Adi Partners will acquire 49% of Jet Airways, while the employees’ consortium will hold 26%.
