Grocery, dairy & vegetable shops to remain open during 21 days lockdown

Yesterday PM Modi announced 21 days lockdown in the country to contain the spread of Coronavirus. Soon after, Home Ministry circulated set of guidelines to the states to ensure the centre & state government offices remain closed. The circular also directed all the Gyms, malls theatres, & educational institutions to remain shut till April 14. However, the govt has clarified that pharmacy, groceries & other essential commodities would be available for the public, hence for citizens there is no to panic or hoard goods at home. Govt asks to take legal action against violators amid lockdown

The government today ordered states to "strictly enforce lockdown" and asked for legal action against those who violated the restriction. Prime Minister Narendra Modi even tweeted this morning that many people are still not taking the lockdown seriously. Across India, 80 districts including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata and Bengaluru are on complete lockdown, which means only essential services will be allowed. Death toll in Delhi violence rises to 46

The death toll in Delhi violence has risen to 46 after four bodies were brought to the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital. Medical Superintendent, Dr. Meenakshi Bharadwaj, stated that yesterday evening, four bodies were brought to the hospital and today, an autopsy will be conducted.
