We will bring the old vehicle scrapping policy in a short period: Nitin Gadkari

Minister of Road, Transport, and Highways Nitin Gadkari, at an event in New Delhi, expressed, "We have already prepared the draft, but some of the problems are related with different stakeholders. We need cooperation from the manufactures and at the same time clearance from the Finance Ministry". Gadkari further said that his Ministry is trying its level best to clear it as early as possible. "I am confident that we will bring the scrapping policy in a short period", he added. The policy focuses to ban 20-year-old commercial vehicles with effect from April 1, 2020. The policy will allow the buyers to scrap their old vehicles and get a scrapping certificate following which they wouldn't have to pay the registration fee for their new vehicle. Naidu was creating law and order situation: Andhra Pradesh DGP on Naidu's preventive detention

Andhra Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP) DG Sawang stated, "N Chandrababu Naidu was taken into preventive custody as his actions were increasing tensions and creating disturbances to law and order in Palnadu, Guntur. Police didn't take him into preventive custody for fighting against the policies of state govt". Naidu was put under preventive detention when he along with his party workers were prepared to take out 'Chalo Atmakur' rally. After being house arrested, Naidu sat on hunger strike in protest. UN Chief rejects to intervene on Kashmir issue between India & Pak

After India and Pakistan represented themselves at 42nd session of United Nations Human Rights Council conference in Geneva, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expressed his concern over potential escalation of tensions between India and Pak over Kashmir issue and appealed both the Nation to resolve through peaceful dialogue. When asked about UN's stands to mediate Kashmir, UN spokesperson Stephane Dujarric said, “You know, the position… our position on mediation has, as a matter of principle, has always remained the same”.
