Karnataka: Dalits dragged out of their homes, thrashed with iron rods for refusing to dig grave

In Karnataka's Bengaluru city, some members of the Dalit community were thrashed by upper-caste men after they refused to work for them. As per media reports, the incident occurred after the Dalits refused to dig up a grave for the burial of an upper-caste man family member. The reports further stated that around nine people have been hospitalised. As per eyewitness, around 30 upper-caste men barged into the victims home and dragged them out and assaulted them with iron rods in front of the public. Even women weren't spared as they were thrown into the sewage drains. The police have arrested two men and are looking out for others who took part in this brutal assault. About this incident, Pakistan's Federal Minister for Interior Ijaz Ahmed Shah said, "People do not believe us... in the international community. Indian, Chinese troops face-off in Ladakh; tensions ease after talks

On Wednesday the Soldiers belonging to the Indian Army and People's Liberation Army of China were engaged in a confrontation near the border near the northern bank of the Pangong lake situated in Ladakh. As per Indian Army, “There was a face-off between the two armies but it got over after the delegation-level talks between two sides. The face-off is over now and it had de-escalated and disengaged fully after delegation-level talks yesterday [Wednesday]”. Kashmir's welfare lies in integration with India: Top Muslim body backs Article 370 abrogation

The Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind (JUH), at a general council meeting in the national capital, adopted a resolution which states that "Kashmir is an integral part of India and that all Kashmiris are our compatriots. Any separatist movement is harmful not only for the country but for people of Kashmir as well". JUH General Secretary Mahmood Madani expressed that there won't be a compromise with the security and integrity of the country. "India is our country and we stand by it", Madani added.
