Rajasthan: “Prachar Rath” was organized to promote organic and natural farming

Recently in Rajasthan has organized a ‘Prachar Rath’ to promote the promote organic and zero budget natural farming (ZBNF) among the farmers by Congress leader and current Agriculture Minister Lal Chand Kataria. Mr. Kataria said in his own words, said, “The Prachar Rath's dialogue with the farmers will apprise them of the benefits of using organic manure, vermicompost, crop residues, and organic waste, while the weed, disease and pest control can be achieved through bio-materials and crop rotation.” Src-http://bit.ly/34O9IMG

Rajasthan govt to provide 70 liters free water everyday to residents of 13 desert districts

Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot has approved a proposal to provide 70 liters of water for free to residents of the 13 desert districts of the state. According to the govt official statement, the state govt had previously endorsed to provide 40 liters of free water to all people in rural areas of the state but the new decision was taken considering an extra need of 30 liters for residents having livestock in the desert areas. Last month, to solve the severe water shortage in Rajasthan's Pali region, a train carrying water to the drought-hit district was sent from Jodhpur Railway Station. Src: https://bit.ly/33TlbKb

Rajasthan: Govt forms 3-member SIT to probe police investigation in Pehlu Khan case

The Rajasthan government said it will re-examine the Pehlu Khan case, in which a district court acquitted the six men accused of thrashing the dairy farmer on suspicion of cattle smuggling two years ago. The state government is setting up a three-member Special Investigation Team that will look at police lapses in the investigation. The team has been asked to submit its report within 15 days. The Rajasthan government has decided to challenge the Alwar court's verdict which had pointed out several loopholes in the investigation and took notice of the fact that no evidence was found against the accused according to Pehlu Khan's statement. Salary of Rajasthan ministers, MLAS hiked

The Rajasthan assembly on Monday passed a bill to raise the salaries of ministers and MLAs by up to 44%, amounting to an increase of Rs 29.36 crore in annual expenditure. While the chief minister will get a salary hike of 36% in pay and other allowances. The statement of the Bill said, "Looking to the present level of price, the existing salary and sumptuary and other allowances payable to CM and ministers appeared to be inadequate".
