Mahatma Gandhi's contribution to humanity is everlasting: PM Modi

PM Narendra Modi paid tributes to Mahatma Gandhi on his 150th birth anniversary and expressed, "Tributes to beloved Bapu! On Gandhi 150, we express gratitude to Mahatma Gandhi for his everlasting contribution to humanity. We pledge to continue working hard to realise his dreams and create a better planet". Modi further said that Gandhi never tried to create influence but his life became a source of inspiration. Commitment towards ideals took Gandhi's attention to seven follies, which are wealth without work, pleasure without conscience, knowledge without character, business without ethics, science without humanity, religion without sacrifice, and politics without principles. His thoughts on these follies are relevant today and will remain so in the future. "These principles of Gandhi will continue to guide us as protection of humanity. I have confidence that the path shown by Gandhi will be an inspiration in creating a better world", he added. Do you agree with Modi's statement? Comment below. Src: https://bit.ly/2pm7iVn

Punjab: Police arrest one more member of KZF terror module

In Punjab's Amritsar city, the police have arrested one more accused allegedly involved in a terrorist module of the revived Khalistan Zindabad Force (KZF), busted on September 22. As per the police, the accused has been identified as Sajanpreet Singh and a local court has sent him to five-day police remand. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) will investigate cases of drones being used by Pakistan to smuggle arms into India through bordering areas of Punjab. Earlier on September 22, the state police had said to have busted a terrorist module of the revived KZF, which was backed by a Pakistan and Germany based terror group that was conspiring to unleash a series of terror strikes in Punjab and other adjoining states. A senior police officer stated that the weapons were suspected to have been delivered across the India-Pakistan border from Pakistan by drones launched by the ISI and state-sponsored Jihad and pro-Khalistan terrorist outfits working under its command. What steps should be taken by the govt to stop terror attacks in the country? Comment below. Src: https://bit.ly/2pkUm1T

This project will be supported by joint teams comprising of MLAs and PWD engineers that will carry out a first-of-its-kind pre-repair survey. In addition to this, Kejriwal said that “The deteriorating condition of roads tarnishes the image of the city. We have decided repair roads coming under the jurisdiction of PWD.
