Thieves in Maharashtra loots INR 7 lakh from elderly Parsi couple

5 armed men broke into the house of an elderly Parsi couple at night on Friday and fled with cash and valuables worth INR 6.6 lakh. The unidentified persons poisoned the couple's watchdogs and hens before robbing them. To prevent themselves from being identified, the accused also broke the CCTV cameras at the bungalow. An investigation revealed that the victims woke up when the accused were breaking open the back door of their house. 2019 records highest deaths while cleaning sewer in last 5 yrs

Recently it was confirmed by the media reports that as many as 376 labourers were killed while performing the task of manual cleaning of sewers since 2015, out of which 110 such deaths had occurred in 2019, the highest in past five years. Media reports have confirmed that compensation was given in 275 cases, including 200 who received the full compensation of INR 10 lakh.
