50-year-old mother travels 1,400 kms to bring back stranded son in Andhra Pradesh

50-year-old Razia Begum, teacher by profession travelled 700 km on scooty from Telangana’s Nizamabad district to Nellore, Andhra Pradesh to bring back her 17-year-old son who was stranded there due to the Covid-19 lockdown. It took her three days to cover the total distance. Total number of Coronavirus cases in India cross 3000-mark, death toll rises to 75

As per the data from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the death toll due to Coronavirus in India has risen to 75, with Maharashtra reporting the most number of deaths so far. Lockdown results in improved water quality of Ganga, Kanpur & Varanasi witness cleaner air

According to reports from officials in UP, amid the nation-wide 21-day lockdown to curb the spread of the novel Coronavirus, the water quality of Ganga river in Uttar Pradesh has seemingly improved. There were also signs of improved air quality in cities like Varanasi and Kanpur. It was further reported that the roads in Varanasi are completely deserted because people are inside their houses.
