Kejriwal meets Sitharaman, urges to clear Rs 3,000 Cr pending Tax dues of Delhi
Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and Deputy CM Manish Sisodia met Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. Kejriwal, congratulating Sitharaman on getting the post of Finance Minister, requested her to clear Rs 3,000 Cr pending Integrated Goods and Services Tax (IGST) dues of Delhi. The IGST dues for the first year rolled-out of the indirect tax in 2017-2018 are still pending. Kejriwal also expressed to Finance Minister that more the Centre invests in Delhi, it will prompt growth in the economy and Delhiites will give more tax collections to the Centre. The Delhi Ministers assured her of full cooperation from the Delhi and stressed upon the importance of two governments working for the improvement and further progress of the National Capital.
