Paytm advises workers to work from home after an employee tested positive for Coronavirus

Paytm's employee, who recently returned from Italy for a holiday, has tested Coronavirus positively in Haryana's Gurugram, and the company has advised its workers to spend a few days working from home. In an interview, Paytm spokeswoman stated that the patient is undergoing appropriate treatment and that the company is extending full support to his family. UP Police booked Paytm CEO, VP after man gets cheated of INR 1.5 lakh online

Recently the Uttar Pradesh Police have booked Paytm CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma, Vice President Ajay Shekhar Sharma and a few other senior officials after a Ghaziabad man was cheated of INR 1.5 lakh online. As per the media reports, the case was registered after a man complained that he was duped of money on the pretext of a cashback offer. He had allegedly received a call from a person who introduced himself as Paytm Vice-President. Paytm gives 2.6 million shares to investors in return of Dollar 660 millions of funds

According to a report by business intelligence platform Tofler, the Indian digital payments platform Paytm’s parent company One97 Communications has raised an amount of around Dollar 660 million from investors including the Alibaba Group, SoftBank’s SVF Panther (Cayman) and the funds are being managed by T Rowe. Paytm plans to remove 500 mid and junior employees

The e-commerce payment company Paytm is laying off 500 employees who worked at the mid and junior level. As per the source, the company is asking many state heads including junior managers to resign abruptly to cut down the expense and the firm is offering them two-months severance package. The states in which the maximum layoffs will take place are Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and others. Over a dozen of employees have already resigned from the company.
