Self-defense training of 3 months to begin in Telangana govt schools for girl students

Telangana government has taken an initiative, where they will provide a three-months martial arts training to the girl students for self-defense. The School Education Department announced that Telangana govt has sanctioned INR 1.38 crore for School Management Committees of 1,544 government schools. The self-defense training initiative will be implemented from February 2020. Every school will have to hire a qualified trainer to train the girl students. Src: https://bit.ly/2rUWOxq

India has asked the international community to be careful about Pakistan’s agenda to spread falsehood and radicalize the population of foreign countries against the Indian Government’s bid to abrogate the special status of Jammu and Kashmir. RBI keeps the repo rate unchanged at 5.15%, GDP growth forecast lowered to 5%

The monetary policy committee (MPC) of the RBI today, to everyone’s surprise, decided to keep its repo rate steady at 5.15%. The RBI today also revised its GDP growth outlook for 2019-20 downwards to 5%, from 6.1% in the October policy. The economy grew at just 4.5% annually in the June-September quarter, which is the weakest pace since 2013. Indian Coast Guard rescues 264 fishermen

In the recent media reports, it was confirmed that Indian Coastal Guard has rescued as many as 264 fishermen who were stranded in Arabian Sea owing to rough sea conditions. In a statement issued by Indian coast guard they have informed of treating the injured fishermen and administrating the medical treatment.
