India’s Bhawna Jat qualifies for Tokyo Games in 20 km race walk

Recently India's Bhawna Jat has bagged a mammoth achievement on her name after she was qualified in the Tokyo Olympics in the 20 km Race Walk event. The 24-year-old athlete from Rajasthan recorded a time of 1:29:54 to bag her ticket to Tokyo, comfortably beating the Olympics 2020 qualification mark of 1:31:00. In the men’s event, Sandeep Kumar won the race after clocking a timing of 1:21:34. However, he was unfortunate to miss out on the Tokyo Olympics qualification by just 34 seconds which is set at 1 hour 20 minutes. Src: https://bit.ly/2wd7hpU

A man arrested for conspiring to set ablaze mother-daughter for cancelling his wedding

In a bizarre incident, police here arrested a man identified as Bhairon Singh Rathor for allegedly conspiring to set ablaze a mother and daughter in Palghar situated in Mumbai. As per the media reports Bhairon Singh reached Palghar on Friday, a few months ago his marriage had been fixed with the girl, but it was broken off by her family since they got to know that he was unemployed. Jailed for 14 years in murder case, A man fulfiled dream of becoming doctor in Karnataka

You must have heard, students work very hard to pursuing their dream and to become a doctor. But today you’ll hear that a 40-year-old prisoner had worked hard and fulfilled his dream of becoming a doctor. The man from Afzalpura in Karnataka’s Kalaburagi was put behind bars in a murder case while doing MBBS in 1997. After getting arrested in a murder case in 2002, he had worked at the jail’s OPD and was released in 2016 for good conduct. He had completed his MBBS in 2019.
