Andhra Woman walks 60 km to marry her boyfriend in neighbouring village

A woman identified as Chitikala Bhavani in Andhra Pradesh walked a distance of 60 kilometres to marry her boyfriend Sai Punnayya, who lived near her village. Bhavani and Punnaya, who have been together for four years and their parents were not happy with them. However, when everything was ready to set their plan in motion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced lockdown for 21 days amid the coronavirus outbreak. For Donald Trump’s 3-hour visit, Gujarat Govt to spend INR 80 crore

Gujarat Government will spend around INR 80-85 crore for the upcoming visit of United States President Donald Trump. According to reports, the total expenditure is equivalent to 1.5% of the annual budget of Gujarat. More than 12,000 police officers will be deployed and half of the cost is after security-related. Swami Krushnaswarup Dasji of Swaminarayan Bhuj Mandir, who runs the Bhuj Institute where 68 hostellers were forced to do a strip test to check whether they were menstruating, said that if you eat food cooked even once by a menstruating woman, then your next avatar will be that of an ox. Swami further said, "A menstruating woman who cooks food for her husband will certainly be reborn as a 'kutri' (bitch)". India-Russia defence deals set will cross $16 bn, will include S-400 systems & rifles

India and Russia signed 14 memorandums of understanding (MoUs) during the recent Defexpo 2020 in Lucknow that covered development and production of land, air and naval systems and hi-tech civilian products. It also included defence deals between the two countries which is set to cross $16 billion mark. The deal will include a supply of S-400 air defence systems and production of Kalashnikov rifles and Kamov helicopters. India has plans to buy 200 Ka-226 helicopters from Russia and as per reports, India made the first payment of $850 million last year for the $5.4-billion deal for five S-400 systems through a special mechanism worked out by the two sides.
