SC rejects review plea of 4th convict, ‘Step closer to justice’ says Nirbhaya’s mother

The Supreme Court has rejected the review petition filed by Akshay Singh, one of the four convicts of the Nirbhaya gang-rape case of 2012 by saying that there is no ground to review the petition and review petition is not hearing of the case over and over again. The convict can file a mercy plea in front of the President within one week. On the step by SC, Nirbhaya’s mother said that she was confident that all four convicts would be hanged and the rejection of the petition is ‘one step closer’ to justice. Src: https://bit.ly/2Eqxa6G
