Nepal to make yoga education compulsory in school curriculum

Recently it was confirmed by the media reports that the Nepal government has decided to introduce certain topics about yoga as a compulsory subject for school children. The reason behind this decision was said to be promoting a healthy lifestyle among students. The students will also be allowed to make a choice between Yoga, Ayurveda and Natural Medicine as an optional subject at the school level, a Ministry of Education, Science and Technology official said. Withdraw your army from our land: Nepal to India over new map

Nepal PM KP Oli, in an interview, stated that Nepal belongs to the Kalapani territory at the tri-junction of Nepal, India and Tibet, and India should withdraw its army from there immediately. Oli also said the govt of Nepal won't let anyone encroach even one inch of their property. Earlier this month, the External Affair spokesperson Raveesh Kumar stated, "Our map accurately depicts the sovereign territory of India". Kumar further said that the boundary delineation exercise with Nepal is ongoing under the existing mechanism. Nepal set to hike foreign tourist visa fee from July 17 after almost a decade

Nepal will raise visa fees for foreign tourists from July 17. Citing the Department of Immigration (DoI), the decision to increase the foreign tourist visa fees was taken in May 2019 as the government had not raised the charges for almost a decade. However, the officials said that the fee structure would be revised again after the completion of the Visit Nepal Year 2020. DoI hiked visa fee for tourists in a range between USD 5 and USD 35. 3,000 kg garbage collected from Mt. Everest region.

Nepal govt backed Sagarmatha cleaning campaign reported that nearly 3,000 kg solid waste was collected from Mount Everest region. Dandu Raj Ghimire, Director of Department of Tourism reported that 2,000 kg garbage was sent to Okhaldunga and other 1,000 kg was lifted by Nepali Army helicopters to Kathmandu for disposal. Around 23 million Nepalese rupees will be spent in the cleaning campaign, the Department reported.
