Delhi govt to pay fees for CBSE exam of class 10 and 12 students: Manish Sisodia

Education Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia said that the Delhi government will pay Class 10 and 12 CBSE board examination fees of all students studying in government schools starting this academic year and relevant instructions related to this have been issued to the schools regarding not to charge CBSE board fees from the students. Sisodia along with an order copy issued by the Directorate of Education tweeted, "Delhi government will pay the CBSE board examination fees of all students of class X and XII in Delhi government schools, instructions have been issued to the schools to not to collect fees from students". CM Naveen Patnaik announces Rs 500 crore plan to develop Puri into world heritage city

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday at a high-level meeting in Lok Seva Bhawan announced a Rs 500 crore mega plan to develop Puri into a world heritage city. The amount will be spent on a range of modernisation plans including infrastructure development, construction of multi-lane roads, bridges, the revival of Musa river, and the renovation of lakes and Mathas in the region. The announcement came after the Puri administration carried out a massive demolition exercise around the boundary wall of the Jagannath temple to free the premises from encroachment. 'Don't disturb Valley's peace': J&K govt tells opposition leaders

Following the reports that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and other opposition party leaders would be visiting Kashmir to review the situation, The Jammu and Kashmir government issued a statement on Friday night asking the leaders not to visit the Valley as it would disturb the gradual restoration of peace and normal life. It said that the visit would be in violation of restrictions imposed in many areas of the Valley. The statement further said said, "attempts should not be made by senior political leaders to disturb the gradual restoration of normal life" when it is trying to protect the people from cross-border terrorism and other threats. Rahul Gandhi and other Opposition leaders to visit Jammu and Kashmir

Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi and leaders from various opposition parties will visit Jammu and Kashmir today where restrictions have been imposed since the central government withdrew special status under Article 370 and split the state into two Union Territories earlier this month. Ghulam Nabi Azad and Anand Sharma are the top Congress leaders along with Rahul Gandhi who is likely to visit. Parties that will be part of the opposition all-party delegation are Congress, CPI-M, CPI, RJD, NCP, TMC and DMK.
