UP court rejects Swami Chinmayanand's bail in sexual abuse case

Recently a court in Uttar Pradesh has rejected the bail application of the BJP leader Swami Chinmayanand, who was arrested in a sexual abuse case following rape allegations that he raped one of the law students for a year. Over this matter, Shahjahanpur Chief Judicial magistrate has said: “it should be moved in the sessions court, Chinmayanand's counsel.” The court has also rejected the bail of three other men -- Sanjay, Sachin and Vikram -- who were arrested on extortion charges filed by the BJP leader over the same grounds. Clean statues of all leaders irrespective of their ideologies: BJP to party leaders and workers

Ahead of the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya on September 25, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has asked party leaders and workers to clean statues of the great leaders and personalities in their localities irrespective of political ideologies. A BJP circular read, "On the call of PM Modi please undertake a cleanliness drive and also a drive to clean the statues of the great leaders and personalities in and around your town irrespective of their political ideologies". The circular further read that all MPs, MLAs, MLCs should do the same in their offices and also make all these premises free of single-use plastic. PM Modi during the launch of Maharashtra election campaign lashed out at party alliance members for making non-sense comments on Ayodhya Mandir case. He said, “I want to tell these loudmouths to have some respect for the legal system and the courts”. This came after Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray exuded confidence that Ram Mandir will be constructed in PM Modi’s 2.0 tenure. “The way government is working, our hopes have increased as to the construction of the Ram temple at Ayodhya. UK Court extends Nirav Modi's judicial custody till Oct 17

Fugitive Diamantaire Nirav Modi involved in USD 2 billion Punjab National bank fraud and money laundering case was ordered to remain in Judicial custody until October 17. Nirav Modi appeared before Westminster Court via videolink on Thursday from prison for routine “call over” remand hearing. In the previous hearing, his judicial custody was extended to September 19.
