IMF predicts Indian Economy to revive by 7% next fiscal year

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has predicted that the Indian Economy can be better and rebound to around 7 per cent in the next financial year, a factor that will support to boost the economy would be measured like corporate income tax cuts and monetary policy stimulus. Alexa, pay my telephone bill is now supported in India

Amazon has announced that with the help of its digital assistant Alexa, Indians will now be able to pay utility bills. An official release stated that Alexa will be able to pay bills across categories such as water, electricity, DTH, broadband, mobile, cooking gas, and more, using Amazon Pay. Users can simply command Alexa, 'pay my mobile bill or Alexa', 'pay my electricity bill' to get started. The feature is supported on Alexa-enabled devices including Amazon Echo and Fire TV Stick. Apples with "We want freedom", "I luv Burhan Wani" written on them found in J&K; sellers threaten to buy apples from Kashmir

In Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua district, Kashmir apples with messages like "We want freedom", "I luv Burhan Wani", and "Zakir Musa come back" written on them have been found in the boxes bought by fruit sellers. As per media reports, the fruit sellers have threatened to boycott apples from Kashmir if the govt fails to take action as people are refusing them due to these messages. The reports added that sellers in the wholesale market held protests and raised anti-Pakistan and anti-terrorist slogans. The police have launched a probe and met all fruit sellers in this regard. Indian Army, NASSCOM to come together for facilitating modern-day IT jobs for veterans

The Indian Army and the National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) have decided to collaborate to find modern-day jobs for Army veterans in the IT sectors. As per media reports, the Army produces an enormous number of cadres in various IT related fields but many of them face difficulties in finding suitable options in the second inning after an active army life mostly because of the technological and cultural differences. The reports added that while the Army will assess the industrial needs during the two-day event which is scheduled in Bangalore on October 22-23, NASSCOM will help the army in orienting to the modern industrial needs in the IT sector.
