Karnataka Congress chief seeks apology from state minister' on remark over Muslims

Karnataka Congress President Eshwara Khandre has demanded an apology from state minister KS Eshwarappa on his remark that only Muslims favouring Pakistan would not vote for the BJP. Khandre, stated, "The people who live in this country are patriotic. To say that the people, especially from the minority community, who has voted for the BJP are patriotic and those who didn't vote for them are not patriotic and are in favour of Pakistan is unacceptable. It is against the democratic values of the country". Make people equal partner in development process: Vice President

Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, while interacting with the officers of 2017 batch of Indian Administrative Services (IAS), stated that people have to be made equal partners in the improvement procedure for any democracy to be effective. Naidu further asked the officers to connect with people regularly to be receptive to their issues and also urged them to invest time in the field as real education comes from there.
