MBA student kidnapped, gang-raped by four men in Uttar Pradesh

In Bulandshahar district of Uttar Pradesh, four men allegedly abducted and gang-raped an MBS student from Meerut while she as on her way home from college. The victim's family members rushed to the police when the student didn't reach home until late. The police traced her mobile phone after filing the complaint from the girl's family and rescued her from the Siyana region in Bulandshahar. Later, the victim was admitted to a medical college in a critical condition. However, her condition is presently stable. A case has been registered and an investigation is underway. 4 Bajrang Dal activists attack film critic Kathi Mahesh

Police have registered a case against four Bajrang Dal activists in Telangana's Hyderabad city for attacking film critic Kathi Mahesh, who had previously made statements of derogation against Hindu gods. As per the police, the incident occurred yesterday, when Kathi was returning home after watching a movie. The police officers who were on duty intervened instantly and saved Kathi and shifted him to the local police station. The four activists have been arrested and taken to Saifabad police station. Indian Railways to operate new train based on Ramayana theme

In an interview, officials from the Indian Railways stated that the railways will run a new train based on the theme of Ramayana which will carry pilgrims to Lord Rama-related locations. The new Ramayana circuit train will start operating from the last week of March and will give the passengers a feel of a temple on wheels with Ramayana-related themes and pictures. SC dismisses Nirbhaya convict Vinay Sharma’s plea against the rejection of mercy petition

The Supreme Court has dismissed a petition filed by one of the Nirbhaya gang-rape and murder convicts, Vinay Sharma challenging the rejection of mercy petition. The mercy petition was rejected by the President Ram Nath Kovind. Vinay claimed that he was mentally unstable because of the torture he suffered in jail.
