Amid hanging of four Nirbhaya gang-rape and the murder case convicts, one of the convicts Vinay Sharma has moved to the Election Commission of India to challenge the rejection of his mercy petition. Lawyer A P Singh told the poll that the Model Code of Conduct was there in Delhi when his plea for grant of mercy was rejected. Class 8 student beaten up by the teacher, suffers fracture in Mumbai

Recently a class 8 student has suffered a major fracture on her left elbow after she was allegedly beaten up by a teacher in a school in suburban Santacruz situated in Mumbai. As per the media reports, the incident took place on Monday, after which the parents of the victim had lodged an FIR against the teacher. According to the victim's father, his daughter had a fight with three girls of her class during recess.
