The boy’s grandfather is a Maulavi and had come in contact with some Philippines nationals at a mosque. After that, samples of his family members were sent for testing and in that, his son and servant were confirmed to have Coronavirus. This is the eight case of Coronavirus reported in Mumbai. Govt brings masks and hand sanitisers under Essential Commodities Act

Amid the coronavirus outbreak across the country and concerning the availability of masks and hand sanitisers, by amending the Schedule of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955, the govt has notified an order to designate masks and hand sanitizers as essential commodities until June 30th, 2020. According to media reports, it has been noted that the masks and hand sanitisers are either not available with most vendors on the market, or are available at exorbitant prices with considerable difficulty. Visva Bharati University suspends all classes till March 31

Amid an outbreak of Coronavirus across the country, the Visva Bharati University announced in a statement that all university classes will remain suspended until March 31, 2020. The statement also indicated that no university function/programme like a lecture, workshop, conference, etc. will be fully conducted until March 31, 2020.
