Tax evasion and excessive tax is social injustice by the government, says SA Bobde

While addressing a tax tribunal event, Chief Justice of India S A Bobde expressed that excessive taxation can be social injustice imposed on the people by the government. He further added that tax evasion is the social injustice to fellow citizens also. His suggestion came after the country witnessed the lowest GDP in decades. Nirbhaya convict Vinay Sharma wants to send personal diary to President with mercy plea

Amid hanging of Nirbhaya gang-rape and the murder case accused, one of the accused Vinay Sharma desired to send his 170-pages personal diary to President Ram Nath Kovind. He sent application to the court that he wanted to attach his personal diary with his mercy petitions. One of the convicts in the case, Mukesh Singh's petition has already been rejected by President Kovind. Four accused will be hanged on 1st February. Src: https://bit.ly/2tEnu6S

FIR filed against 150 anti-CAA protest including AMU and Jamia students

The police claimed that they were protesting despite section 144 was in place. Man arrested in Mangaluru for attacking widowed sister-in-law with acid

A 55-year-old man in Mangaluru, Karnataka has been arrested for attempting to throw acid at his widowed sister-in-law over a property dispute, but the acid ended up falling on her minor daughter.
