CBI Court extended P. Chidambram’s custody till August 30

The Special CBI court has extended the CBI remand of former Finance Minister P Chidambaram by four more days in relation to the INX Media case. He will now be produced before the court on August 30. Solicitor-General Tushar Mehta said that Chidambaram's interrogation is incomplete and some emails and documents related to the INX Media case need to be examined. TikTok parent company ByteDance to set up its Data Center in India

Recently a law was passed by the Government of India stating that the Tech companies who hold the data of Indian users are supposed to keep the data inside the boundaries of the country only. After which many tech giants have reacted affirmatively. One of them, TikTok owner ByteDance has also confirmed that they are planning to set up a data center in India within 6-18 months at an estimated cost of $100 million. Src: https://bit.ly/2Z3NBOY

Apple, Samsung sued in US over handsets' radio frequency emissions

According to the recent media reports, tech giants Apple and Samsung have been sued in the US for harmful radio frequency (RF) exposure is coming out of their smartphones. The claims were made that the RF radiations which emits from the smartphones' surpass the legal limits set forth by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Apple contractors reveal they listened to 1,000 Siri recordings per shift

Recently it was confirmed that the multi giant company, Apple’s contractors listen to Siri recordings pretty frequently. According to a whistleblower who had closed his contract this week informed that contractors in Cork were expected to each listen to more than 1,000 recordings from Siri every shift. Media reports have even claimed that contractors regularly used to hear confidential medical information, drug deals, and recordings of couples having sex.
