No 4G connection will worsen health crisis in J&K: Doctors to PM Modi over COVID-19

According to reports, doctors and legal experts have written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking restoration of 4G internet services in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh to help tackle Coronavirus. The letter says that intermittent internet access and slow speed in the Union Territories "will aggravate public health crisis". 42 fresh cases reported in 24 hours: Health Ministry

Today, the Health Ministry informed that 42 new cases and four deaths due to coronavirus have been reported in the last 24 hours. Total number of cases touched 649, said Lav Aggrawal, Joint Secretary, Health Ministry and added that on ministry's request, work in the direction to build Coronavirus dedicated hospitals have begun in nearly 17 states. Grocery, dairy & vegetable shops to remain open during 21 days lockdown

Yesterday PM Modi announced 21 days lockdown in the country to contain the spread of Coronavirus. Soon after, Home Ministry circulated set of guidelines to the states to ensure the centre & state government offices remain closed. The circular also directed all the Gyms, malls theatres, & educational institutions to remain shut till April 14. However, the govt has clarified that pharmacy, groceries & other essential commodities would be available for the public, hence for citizens there is no to panic or hoard goods at home. Farooq Abdullah releases INR 1 Crore from his Funds to check spread of Coronavirus in J&K

Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah released an amount of INR 1 crore from his MPLAD fund to fight the spread of Coronavirus in the state. His party-National Conference spokesperson said the party president and Srinagar MP released amount today to combat the threat.
