Karnataka cricket body fined with INR 50k for using plastic cups by B’luru Municipal Corp

Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) has been fined with a penalty of INR 50,000 by City civic body Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) for using single use plastic cups during the recent India-Australia one day international match. The state cricket association head Vinaya Mruthyunjaya claimed that the civic body gave a general notice without detailed information on plastic use and said that they have been environmentally friendly for the last many years and all gates security has made sure no plastic or flex was allowed inside the stadium. Students raise slogans ‘atankwadi wapas jao’ during Pragya's visit to a university in MP

During BJP MP Pragya Thakur’s visit to a university in Madhya Pradesh's Bhopal on Wednesday, students and NSUI workers raised "Pragya Thakur, go back" and 'atankwadi, wapas jao (terrorist, go back)' slogans against her. A video shows the group raising slogans in front of her. Meanwhile, Pragya called the people raising slogans 'traitor', adding that she'll take action against them. General Bipin Rawat condemns violence during protests, opposition parties criticize

General Bipin Rawat, the current Indian Army chief who is due to retire on 31st December speaking for the first time about his view on the protests and violence all over the country said that leaders are not those who lead people towards destruction and violence but those who lead people in the right direction. The Army Chief was criticized by opposition parties.
