A video has been surfaced on social media where a JNU professor was explaining the situation of a campus to a media reporter. In the video, alleged ABVP goons can be heard saying ‘Desh ke gaddaro ko, goli maro salo ko’ to intervene between teacher's interview with media. Universities should not be turned into hubs of politics, says Smriti Irani on JNU violence

Union Minister Smriti Irani came forward and commented about the violence that happened inside the Jawaharlal Nehru University campus. Irani said that universities should not be turned into hubs of politics, neither should students be used as political pawns. She further added that investigation has begun so it will not be right to speak about the matter. The secretary of the Ministry of Human Resource Development has called registrar, proctor and rector of the JNU to his office today and an FIR has been registered at Vasant Kunj North Police Station in connection with the violence. Attack on JNU students, reminds me of 26/11 attack, says Uddhav Thackeray

Cruel attack to crush students who dare to stand, says Owaisi on JNU violence

AIMIM President and MP from Hyderabad Asaduddin Owaisi on Monday expressed solidarity with the students of JNU in New Delhi who were attacked by around 50 masked people who entered the campus, on Sunday.
