Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, on his Twitter handle, stated that he is worried about the prevailing situation in certain parts of Delhi. Everyone should make all efforts to restore peace in the city. Kejriwal further urged everyone to shun violence and said that he will meet all MLAs of all the parties of affected areas along with senior officials. Nobody needs to fear CAA, says Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray after meeting PM Modi

Recently Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has met the Indian PM Narendra Modi and said that PM Modi has promised that there will not be a nationwide exercise to make people prove their citizenship through a National Register of Citizens or NRC. He said that they have discussed the CAA, NRC and NPR (National Population Register) and there is no need to fear the CAA. Taking his views further he has said that the oppressed minorities will be benefitted. He further added If he will find any dangers befalling the citizens, he will oppose it. Amit Shah assures the northeast, says no intention to revoke Article 371

While addressing a gathering to mark the 34th foundation day of Arunachal Pradesh, Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday reassured the northeast by claiming that the talks of revocation are misinformation. Most states that have special provisions under Article 371 are in the Northeast. These provisions are aimed at preserving their cultural heritage and customary laws. He said that the real emotional integration of the region with the rest of the country happened only under the Modi government and misinformation was spread after the abrogation of Article 370, which gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir, that Article 371 will also be scrapped. Delhi Police summons 10 Jamia students for questioning in Dec 15 violence

As per reports, the Crime Branch of Delhi Police on Thursday has issued notices to 10 students of Jamia Millia Islamia University asking them to appear before it for questioning in the December 15 violence that ensued at the varsity. The students have been identified through the footage from CCTV installed in the varsity. On December 15 last year, Delhi Police burst into the campus, threw tear gas shells and allegedly assaulted students.
