Milk price surpasses the price of petrol in Pakistan

Milk price reaches height across cities of Pakistan on the day of Muharram. As per the media reports, the price of milk has reached Rs 140 per liter in Karachi and the Sindh Province. Interestingly, petrol and diesel prices are lower than that of milk. Petrol was selling Rs 113 per liter, while diesel was Rs 91 per liter. The reason behind this is said to be the occasion of Moharram on which Sabeels (stalls) are set up in different parts of the city to offer milk, juices and cold water to the participants of the holy month's processions. Due to this increased demand, milk prices have shot up. Src: https://bit.ly/2kayCn1
