Gurugram: Commuters to get real-time traffic updates from Google

The Gurugram traffic police have tied up with tech giant Google for providing real-time traffic updates to a motorist in the city, a statement issued by police. According to traffic officials, the tie-up was done so that Commuters would know possible route diversions through Google maps and take alternatives routes. Google will update the maps immediately based on data shared by the Gurugram traffic police, said Subhash Bolen, public relation officer of the Gurugram police. Similarly, if an accident occurs on a particular road, this information will be transmitted to Google maps in real-time and will show to commuters who are stuck in the jam.
