Bars, pubs in Karnataka to remain closed from tomorrow till March 31: BS Yediyurappa

Amid COVID-19 outbreak across the country, Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa, in a statement, stated that as a preventive measure to tackle COVID-19 spread, al bars/pubs will remain closed from tomorrow till March 31 in the state. Yediyurappafurther said that in every city municipal corporations across the state, restaurants including cafes cannot serve food in-house, only takeaways will be allowed. Maharashtra govt providing 3-month ration to people under BPL: Ajit Pawar

Amid COVID-19 outbreak across the country, Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar, in an interview, informed that the state govt is providing three months ration to people under Below Poverty Line (BPL) category. Pawar further said that the state govt is doing whatever is required. As per media reports, Maharashtra remains the worst-hit state from COVID-19 with 52 people, including 3 foreign nationals, confirmed positive for the highly contagious virus. All four Nirbhaya case convicts hanged in Tihar Jail

All four convicts in the 2012 Nirbhaya gang-rape and murder case have been hanged to death at 05:30 IST in Tihar Jail (Delhi), today. The hanging took place as scheduled at 05:30 IST after a tripartite Supreme Court bench rejected the final plea from the convict's lawyer AP Singh to stay their execution at a late-night hearing. Asha Devi and Badrinath Singh, parents of Nirbhaya, hailed the hanging saying their daughter had finally got the justice, over seven years after she was brutalised in a moving bus in Delhi.
