J&K DGP: No fresh local recruitment in terror groups

Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police Dilbag Singh today said there have been no reports of any fresh recruitment of local youth joining terror groups, and normalcy is returning to Kashmir Valley. He said there are some reports of infiltration and "we recently saw two Pakistani terrorists apprehended by the Army in Gulmarg sector". On the prevailing situation in the Valley, the police chief said, "Life is returning towards normalcy and people are going about their activities with school and offices open." J&K: Police arrest 8 LeT terrorists for inciting violence through posters

Eight Lashkar-e-Taiba militants were arrested from Sopore area of Kashmir’s Baramulla district for threatening locals with posters. The posters spoke of “civil curfew” and ask people to enforce civil “disobedience”.Four members of a family, including a baby girl, were injured last week when terrorists attacked a house in Sopore. Two men went to the residence of a prominent fruit merchant in Sopore, Hamidullah Rather, to intimidate him. Finding him missing, the terrorists shot and injured Rather’s family members. Harassment and corruption by jammu police

I was driving bike with all docs but an inspector stop me and ask for money but i regret and he make a challan for no reasons as without turban well i had equipped with 6 mtr turban... I said why u made a challan even after having turban and he just said dont talk infront of me... Apart from this they beg 4000 rupees from a volvo bus drunk driver... What is going on.. Where are the rights jk police have to pay for this..

‘Baramulla first militancy-free district’: J-K Police day after encounter

With the killing of three local Lashkar militants in Baramulla, the Jammu and Kashmir police have declared that strategic police district of North Kashmir free from militancy. It is the first district in Kashmir where there is no surviving militant. Officials say that Lashkar commander Shuiab Akhoon and his two associates, Mohsin Mushtaq and Nisar Darzi, were the last of the listed militants in Baramulla. The police were chasing them for past six months. They had zeroed in on them earlier as well but the trio managed to give police a slip. HT
