Around 57,000 acres of land identified for setting up Industrial estates in J&K

The Jammu and Kashmir government has allocated more than 57,000 acres of land for setting up industrial estates for potential entrepreneurs. 15,000 acres of land in Kashmir Valley and 42,500 acres in the Jammu region, has been allocated for industrial purpose. Adviser to Lieutenant Governor, K.K Sharma stated that this will boost the industrial sector in Jammu and Kashmir and will provide opportunities and employment to the locals. J&K: Skill development centre opened for specially-abled persons

In Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district, a Skill Development Centre for specially-abled people has been inaugurated to enhance employment opportunities among persons with disabilities. District Development Commissioner Mohammad Aijaz expressed that the motive is to train the differently-abled people and to get their placements so that they are not seen as a burden but as active bread earners. Jammu-Srinagar metro project to start operations by September 2024

The Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) Government has set a deadline of September 2024 for the commencement of operations of the INR 9.590 Cr metro plan. As per media reports, Lieutenant Governor Girish Chandra Murmu chaired a meeting to review J&K's planned Mass Rapid Transit System (MRTS) and Light Rail Systems. During the meeting, Murmu emphasized the connection between Light Metro stations and tourist destinations and high-pitched locations. Railway services in the Kashmir valley likely to resume from November 11

Train services are expected to resume in the Kashmir Valley from 11 November. Jammu and Kashmir govt issued a statement saying that Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan has ordered the railways authorities to conduct a track inspection within three days, followed by a trial on 10 November and a resumption of services on 11 November.
