I don't want govts to regulate Twitter or Facebook but I want them to practice some self-regulation of some kind and it should be better than what they are doing today". Madhya Pradesh: 4 held for illegally transporting cattle

In Madhya Pradesh's Barwani region, around 40 bulls have been rescued and four people have been arrested for illegally transporting cattle. The police authorities have also seized five vehicles in which the bulls were being transported by the accused. The accused have been identified as Ajay Yadav, Hari Yadav, Dinesh Yadav, and Amit. The police authorities are making efforts to nab the fifth accused Hemant Garg. A case has been registered against the accused under Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act. Src: https://bit.ly/33SGb3Q

Assam: BSF Assistant Sub-Inspector, wife declared 'foreigner'

In Assam's Jorhat district, a Border Security Force (BSF) Assistant Sub-Inspector (Muzibur Rahman) and his wife have been declared non-Indians by a Foreigners' Tribunal (FT) in an ex-parte order passed in December last year. Rahman, in an interview, stated, "We are not Pakistani or Bangladeshis, we are Indians born in Assam. We have land records going back to 1923, but the border police termed us doubtful voter based on the statement of a drunkard". He added that notice issued to us to appear before the FT was sent to someone else's address.
