ISRO tweets humourous photo of lander Vikram and Orbiter extending good wishes to each other

Ahead of Chandrayaan 2's soft landing on the surface of the moon, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on Thursday posted a humorous message on Twitter in which the spacecraft's Lunar Orbiter was wishing the Lander ahead of the landing. "It was great travelling with you Vikram. I hope you reach the South Pole soon," the Lunar Orbiter says while releasing Lander Vikram. The Lander Vikram is expected to touch down near the South Pole of the Moon in the early hours of Saturday morning. India will soon be the first to land near the lunar South Pole in one try. DGCA suspends two IndiGo pilots for two months for flying with the tail prop attached

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has suspended two IndiGo pilots for two months for flying a Hyderabad-Vijaywada flight with the tail prop attached, despite the Air Traffic Control (ATC) acknowledged them immediately after take-off, but instead of returning to Hyderabad, they continued flying. As per a DGCA official, the incident occurred on July 24. The DCGA, in the suspension order, stated, "This could have caused structural damage to the aircraft during flight". As per the media reports, the DCGA issued a show-cause notice to both the pilots. Both the pilots admitted their mistakes. Tail props are used on the ground to provide support to an aircraft, and when it is airborne, it is not supposed to be hanging. Src: https://bit.ly/2k7v6Ki

India should close Karachi port by blocking Arabian sea ships: Subramanian Swamy

Senior BJP leader Subramanian Swamy has demanded that India needs to strike back against Pakistan if the latter decides to close its airspace for India's civil and commercial aircraft. Swamy on his Twitter handle stated, "My advice to Namo Govt: If Pak closes their airspace for our commercial and civil aircraft, India should close Karachi port by blocking ships going through the Arabian Sea (which needs to be renamed) to Karachi port". This came after Pakistani minister Fawad Hussain posed a threat of airspace closure and a complete ban on land routes for India-Afghanistan trade. Src: https://bit.ly/348tOk6
