Indian Army kills 9 terrorists in 24 hours in Jammu & Kashmir

The Indian Army has reported today that nine terrorists have been killed in the last 24 hours in Jammu and Kashmir. However, one Army soldier lost his life and two others are critically injured in this operation. Due to heavy snow and rough terrain condition, the evacuation operations have been hampered. 35% Army officers and 50% junior commissioned will work from home amid COVID-19

As the number of Coronavirus cases rising, the Army has issued an advisory saying 35 per cent officers and 50 per cent junior commissioned officers (JCOs) in its headquarters will take turns in working from home for a week from March 23. It further read that the second group of officers and JCOs will proceed on home quarantine on March 30. Army Chief General MM Naravane said intermixing of groups has to be avoided. COVID-19 scare: Indian Army postpones 90 different training courses

Amid Coronavirus outbreak across the country, the Indian Army has decided to immediately postpone 90 different courses involving officers and jawans across India. According to sources of the Army, it is important to avoid all large congregations involving near personal interaction and to postpone public gathering. The sources further stated that a total of 90 courses are to commence during the period from March 16 to April 15, involving the movement of 6,000 personnel including officers, Junior Commissioned Officers and other ranks from different units and formations to establishments of category A. Indian Army sets up 4 isolation wards at Command hospital Udhampur to tackle COVID-19

In the Udhampur region of Jammu and Kashmir, with the intention of effectively combating the spread of COVID-19, Command Hospital (NC) has built four isolation wards with a capacity of 100 beds under the aegis of Headquarter Northern Command. A team of specialist doctors will be treating suspected Coronavirus patients according to an official release. It added that the wards have been built using crisis expansion beds, life-saving medical equipment, and medicines.
