Total Sales of Bajaj Auto falls by 13% in October

Bajaj Auto reports a decline of 12.87% in total sales in comparison to the same quarter last year with 2,78,776 vehicles sold in the domestic market. Total domestic sales, including motorcycles and commercial vehicles - fell 11.48% in the last seven months. The auto maker has reported that its total exports including motorcycles and commercial vehicles has declined to 1,84,432 units last month, which was 1,86,757 vehicles in October 2018. Number of employed people decreased by 9 million in 7 years from 2011-2018: Study

An Academic research paper written by two analysts Santosh Mehrotra and Jajati K Parida published by Azim Premji University says that the number employed people during 2011-12 were around 474 million which fell to 465 million in 2017-18. These figures are contradictory to that released by the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister, which said that the employment grew from 433 million in 2011-12 to 457 million in 2017-18. UNESCO adds Hyderabad in the list of ‘creative cities’ along with Mumbai.

Mumbai and Hyderabad were selected in the list of creative cities among the 66 urban settlements by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) on Thursday. Mumbai was selected for its contribution in the world of films, and Hyderabad for cuisine.
