Preserve bodies of accused in Hyd vet rape case till Dec 9 says Telangana High Court

Recently the Telangana High Court has issued a statement to the state to preserve the bodies of the four accused in the brutal rape and murder case of woman veterinarian till 8:00 pm on December 9. The four accused were killed in an encounter on Friday morning while attempting to snatch a gun from a police official. The HC has also directed that the recording of the post-mortem to be handed over to the court of Sessions Judge in Mahabubnagar. Src: https://bit.ly/2Ls21na

24-year-old UP gangrape survivor, who was set on fire by 5 men, dies

Recently a 24-year-old was gang-raped and set ablaze by five men in Uttar Pradesh's Unnao has met to an unfortunate fate and lost her life after fighting hard. As per the media reports, the victim suffered from cardiac arrest at 11:10 pm while she was airlifted to Delhi's Safdarjung Hospital on Friday. The doctor while explaining mentioned that they tried to resuscitate her but she could not survive and lost the battle at 11:40 pm. The gangrape survivor had suffered 90% burns. Home Affairs Ministry wants President to reject Nirbhaya rape convict’s mercy petition

The Union Home Ministry forwarded the mercy petition rejected by the Delhi Government filed by a convict of the Nirbhaya gang-rape case which took place in 2012, to the President and requested him to reject the mercy petition. The Delhi Government rejected the mercy petition filed by one of the 4 convicts of the crime, on the basis that this crime was of extreme brutality and there is no place for mercy as exemplary punishment needs to be given to deter others from committing such crime. Law has done its duty says Hyderabad Police Chief on Hyderabad 4 rape accused encounter

The Chief of Hyderabad Police VC Sajjannar regarding the encounter of 4 accused in the Hyderabad veterinary rape case said that they brought the 4 accused to the crime spot in the early morning for investigation and the accused snatched the guns of the personnel. They also attacked the personnel with sticks after which the police asked them to surrender but they fired on the police personnel leaving them injured post which the police opened fire and the 4 accused were shot dead.
