Andhra Woman walks 60 km to marry her boyfriend in neighbouring village

A woman identified as Chitikala Bhavani in Andhra Pradesh walked a distance of 60 kilometres to marry her boyfriend Sai Punnayya, who lived near her village. Bhavani and Punnaya, who have been together for four years and their parents were not happy with them. However, when everything was ready to set their plan in motion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced lockdown for 21 days amid the coronavirus outbreak. India records 5734 Covid-19 cases, 166 deaths so far

The coronavirus has killed 17 people in India in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 166. The number of positive for coronavirus cases rose to 5,734 on Thursday, government data showed. 20 hotspots in Delhi sealed, masks made compulsory

Twenty coronavirus hotspots in Delhi will be sealed, informed Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia. The 20 hotspots to be sealed include Markaz Masjid and Nizamuddin Basti, Dwarka's Shahajahanabad society, parts of Mayur Vihar, Patparganj, Malviya Nagar, Sangam Vihar, Seemapuri, Vasundhara Enclave, Dilshad Garden and popular Bengali market near Connaught Place. J&K and Ladakh make wearing face masks mandatory

According to the General Administration Department (GAD), face masks have been made mandatory for all the officers, staff and visitors in the Civil Secretariat as a preventive measure to stop the spread of coronavirus. The Civil Secretariat is presently functional as part of the bi-annual darbar move, under which the government functions six months each in Jammu and Srinagar during winter and summer months. District Magistrate, Leh, Sachin Kumar Vaishya has ordered the general public as well as the government officials (both civilian and armed forces) to mandatorily wear the face masks at public places without any exemption.
