How humans are involved in causing Natural calamities

This year floods have wreaked havoc in Assam, Kerala, Uttarakhand, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh and Bihar, and others. More than 200 people have died in rain-related tragedies overall. 40 million hectares of land (roughly 12 percent of India's geographical area) is prone to floods. Between 1953 and 2017, India suffered damages worth Rs 3,78,247.047 crore due to floods and heavy rains. Besides this, 1,07,535 people were killed, a total of 8,07,17,993 houses destroyed and an area of 466.335 million hectares affected. These natural calamities have a direct and indirect relation to human activities and they are responsible for climate change, global warming, and imbalance in the ecosystem. Planting trees, shunning the use of plastic, saving water are the certain steps that humans can adopt to subdue the damage caused to nature. Src:https://bit.ly/2ZoGuQw
