Congress spokesperson and senior advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi said that in the detail explanation filed on Monday, it has been clearly mentioned that a campaign is being run by Gandhi, Congress and other parties since the last 18 months or so, stating that PM Narendra Modi, some Union ministers and others are complicit in the Rafale "scam". Singhvi citing Gandhi's reply said, "In this context, we had coined and repeatedly used, endorsed and relied upon the political slogan 'chowkidar chor hai' which we have done, we continue to do, and will continue to rely upon."

While urging the crowd Akhilesh said, “It was SP who brought Delhi near to UP. It was us who brought Delhi closer to you by constructing proper roads and highways. Don’t you think, now it is your duty to bring Delhi closer to BSP-SP alliance?”
