Delhi: Schools to remain shut for 2 days over worsening pollution levels

Delhi Deputy CM and Education Minister Manish Sisodia, on his Twitter handle, stated that the Delhi Govt has announced that all private and govt-run schools in the national capital will remain closed for the next two days due to the deteriorating air quality in the city. JNU announces partial rollback of fee hike, other rules

After continuing protests by JNUSU leaders and students, the administration of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has announced a partial rollback in hostel fees and other charges. Vice-Chancellor Mamidala Jagadish Kumar stated that the Executive Council agreed that for general students, the rent for hostels and other facilities is raised from INR 10 to INR 300, but under the poverty line, students will have to pay just half of it. Uttrakhand cabinet approves formation of safety scheme to deal with natural calamities

Uttrakhand CM Trivendra Singh Rawat chaired a cabinet meeting and approved the formation of an integrated safety scheme under the high-intensity earthquake minimization program to deal with natural disasters in the state. As per media reports, a budget of INR 500 Cr will be funded to cope with natural disasters for a duration of five years. The cabinet also approved an INR 3,73,00,000 budgeted for surveying buildings vulnerable to natural disasters and agreed to recruit some 25 Disaster Mitigation employees to the District Disaster Management Control (DDMC). Madhya Pradesh's Sikhs can now visit Kartarpur Sahib under govt scheme

The Madhya Pradesh govt included Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur in Pakistan in its scheme, which funds a pilgrimage for the people of the state. The state's Spiritual Department issued the 'Mukhyamantri Teerth Darshan Scheme'. The scheme was started by the previous govt of the BJP.
